flash frames

how do you work flash frames. I go to change widget, I click all and then it says "you can't change that"

This is a bug (specifically, issue #4636) because ALL has no meaning when it comes to flash widgets.

The workaround is to select the specific flash widget you've uploaded to your media library, and not to select the ALL option.

Instead, make sure you upload a SWF-based flash widget to your media library (avoid embed code that has JavaScript in it), and then use that specific widget as your choice.

As with much of Kaneva Im confused about this new facility too.

I made a small flash file ( .swf) which plays fine on my computer with adobe flash player automatically picking it up when I click to open the file.

But when I uploaded it to my media library it was taken in as a "Game" therefore when i try to add it to a flash frame it doesnt appear in the menu.

Anyone have any idea why this happened ?

i gave up too...it eats the embed codes and changes them then says their invalid.

also the 2 widget websites they say to use have javascript and everything else in their widget embed code links and kaneva doesnt like it...

I've gotten a flash music player to run in automode in a flash frame in game...however I had to use the default playlist that came with the widget example from widget box...

I have tried a number of other flash media player embed codes but kaneva mangles the code and when flash when opened on webside or placed in a frame in-world gives an undefined error in the flash app...that is to say its saying the playlist is undefined....kaneva is eating the code somewhere along the way. I even loaded my own flash player files to personal website thinking maybe theres some type of cookie/profiling error giving the undefined playlist error fromt he sites hosting the other flash players...i got the same undefined list error trying it with kaneva.


on another note...the tv channels..i can not get the asx streams to run in-world...they run fine webside as they open the windows media player in-line web browser app, but they wont do this in-world.

I would love to use the flash widgets or the tv channels to play internet radio streams, but cant get the flash frame widgets to work wb-side or in-world and tc channels work only web-side for me.

There is an issue with the TV Channels ...I had Andre come to my house and there is an aspect ratio issue and a playlist issue in game..on site is fine i think...As far as the flash...I have found and aspect issue there and yes i have the same issue with embedded codes being invalid and playlist issues. So as far as i know it is being worked on but don't quote me on either issue...GJ

If i am correct i do not think this feature is yet intended for .swf..I think it is only for embedded and streaming flash from the web? Could be wrong though

Are there any technical limitations to widgets - I have also had issues with not being able to change a widget as a moderator.

Is it only the owner can change flash frames?

Also is there a size limit on the widget - do the auto resize for the size of the frame?

As can moderators change flash widgets? I couldn't for a club I moderated and recieved the same error addstar did.

Im the owner of clubgeser radio. the station will stream on kaneva site but not in the world. .asx file is set up right jsut wont play in the world. dont understand why!
