A rave is something to give to others to show you like them, think they are cool, or for even helping you. You can however give them for any reason. It's really up to the individual. If you receive enough raves it can put you up higher on a list of folks with top # of raves. I always give them to just about anyone I meet. It's a nice gesture to me. Hope that helped some.
