Stalkers

I have a question. Over the last year I've dealt with a net stalker. Kaneva was the only place I had left where HE wasn't. Now he's here because he knows I am. He hasn't done anything wrong yet, so can't really report him for anything, and all the crap he's caused prior to this was elsewhere. What can I do? :(

sorry you got a stalker:( . Before he does anything you should just block him so he can't bother you and just don't pay him any attention.

Can't offer anything other than sympathy :( and hope that WOK will not lose you. Since you know more about WOK than WOK's creators, you know what can be done if Mr S majorly steps out of line.... Don't think I'm alone in dreading the possibility of the end of the Beach and your steady and caring presence at this masked ball.

I couldn't pose as a man. I'm too girly for that, lol. :p Unfortunately I think this is similar to a case of abuse. Not much you can do until the person makes your life hell. You know, I wrote an article about how to deal with stalkers for another website. One of the suggestions was to stalk them back. I just hope in my putting theory to practice I don't get banned, lol. I sent him a message yesterday telling him once again to leave, but he came back and joined some communities. SO, I sent him another message this morning.

Any admin or mods who want to get onto me for harassment, think about this. YOU try dealing with someone for a year stalking you. It's literally gotten so bad I've shut down my own site, left ALL the sites I was on because of him, stopped even talking to all our mutual friends. This was my last place I had. It's more than just waiting for that message from him or him pulling his crap about me to others here. It got so bad that every time I saw he'd visited my profile elsewhere, every time I logged in EVERYwhere, I'd start to hyperventillate. THIS is why I'm here. I was an emotional wreck just always waiting for the other shoe to drop. One can't be expected to live like that. So yes, I've sent him messages telling him to get the h*** off here and stay gone and even talked to his best friend and his net gf. I'm sick to death of dealing with him. I left him EVERYthing and he can't leave me be in the one place I have left. :(

Believe this. I will NOT go down without a fight. I don't take crap from anyone and when I've been pushed too far, I push back. Period.

And he won't do anything that will get him banned. He's too clever for that. He's much more subtle in his goal to make me have a nervous breakdown. Boo for him he's ****ed me off and gone too far now. I don't break that easy and after all this time, he should know that.

Unfortunately, you're not the only WOK lady I've heard of who's been the subject of intimidation and harassment that may fall within the rules. It's more than sad that good people are being driven from the web by the abusive and the crazy. Law and social rules have not caught up with the web in this area. We'll support you anyway we can,:( miss you if you leave, but we will understand....

Some folks just make it a point to make others lives miserable. Probably because there own isn't so great. Sad thing is it really does effect everyone when someone close to them is effected this way. Don't leave Nadia though if you really have to I'm sure your friends your real friends will understand. Though I'm sure those same true friends will do all they can to help you too. No one should be forced to leave a place because of some goof.

Well, he sent me a message saying he's out after my last message to him. I'm very HIGHLY skeptical though. Oh well, we'll see.

Make sure that you use our ignore and block functions. If someone does indeed harass you or otherwise break the Rules of Conduct, then it is your prerogative to report them. We act on harassment and conduct violations, and ban people every day for them.

Yes, but if you use the ignore or block communication buttons, then you're at the risk of being somewhere this person is and them saying all kinds of stuff that you can't hear. :( I know well what hearing stuff second hand can do, lol. Would prefer to have my eyes and ears open. What we need is a block function that blocks all private communication but leaves public communication available. Is that possible?

so sorry to hear about some one stalkin you just ignore them and tell them to grow up and get a life i do know how it feels to be stalked i have had the same darn problem change my name and everything but i'm a freak about my pictures so i always posted my picture where ever i joined so eventually he backed off. ;)

Just ignore him sweetie, ignore him act like he is not even there. After a while..it will take a WHILE..he will just give up say "oh ***** this i quit!" and...bam...stalker gone. As I said, it will not be a quickie way out. It does take time. I know im sounding like a GM..im not trying to. I know quite a bit because I am in fact a network administrator for an internet relay chat network. I have dealt with the bitter slums and perils that are our nasty foes of the universe...or in our case...Kaneva.

Oh, and I have seen so many break the rules of conduct..been reported..and nothing has happened to them, can someone explain this? Clear violations going untouched.

Yeah I know. Ericm1988 has been reported many times but he's still around. He's a lil lunatic. Something seriously damaged upstairs. :( But anyway, I suppose stalking the stalker DOES work. Supposedly he's now gone. :D Not really holding my breath, though.:rolleyes:

Its not your best defense at all. But, if it worked for you good for you, I just wouldnt keep it up as the admins would definately get on to you.

talking about stalking someone on the forum? not a very good idea. neither is just ignoring him, he has been a serious pain since october of last yeah if i remember correctly. this isnt your typical guy or stalker even. much more to it than that trust me lol.
