you change it to full screen mode using the button in the top right of the window.. (with XP-look, vista is the same process, with the same icons in the buttons, just they look nicer)
see picture below:

hope that helps

If your having lagging problems you may need to increase the size of your virtual memory. To do this follow these steps *The steps are for XP*
1. Open Control Panel
2. Double click "System"
3. Then to the "Advanced" tab
4. After that, in the Performance block there is a button "Settings" Click it
5. In that box, click "Advanced"
6. Finally click the button "Change"
Once your there can change the size of your virtual memory *Increase Initial size and Maximum size* But of course the System Managed Size would be best.... Once that's completed there should be less or no lags! :)
Hope I Helped! Good Luck,

well... just do a disk defrag everyone and then, this should speed up the access time on your hard drive… to open that go Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tool>Disk Defragmenter
And a general rule used is to keep your hard drive under 80% full (in your case that would be +-32GB)
You could also think of buying a New hard drive some time soon, as 40GB is realy small.
