View Full Version : How do I cancel my Kaneva account?

Due to time constraints I am unable to continue doing the virtual community thing. Could someone help me cancel my account so everything I've uploaded is erased? Thanks in advance...

How do I close my account?
Since Kaneva doesn't charge an initial or monthly fee, and since each member email address can only be associated with one account, we do not delete accounts because we want our members to rejoin any time they want to come back and enjoy Kaneva.

However, you can set your own account to be only viewable by yourself and not have any other people be able to view it. Again, since we do not charge any fees, doing this allows you to temporarily "close" your account. So that if you decide to rejoin you can always reactivate it by the click of a few buttons.

In order to make it so no one else can view your profile page just follow these steps:

Goto www.kaneva.com and sign in with the account's email address and password. If you don't know the password, you can retrieve it by clicking the "Forgot Password?" link on the sign in box of Kaneva.com. The password will be sent to the email address used to sign in to Kaneva

Go to the My Profile tab.

Click the Layout tab. Near the top right you will see a section called View Settings. This has three settings for you to choose from: Anyone, Only Me and Friends Only. If you do not wish for anyone to view your page change the setting to Only Me. Press the Save Changes button at the top.


We hope that you will return to Kaneva in the future and reactivate your account with us. To do so you can merely log in, go to the Layout tab, change the viewing features to 'Anyone' and press the 'Save Changes' button.

Visit www.kaneva.com and sign in using your account information.
Go to your profile page and under the layout tab set the view settings to "Only Me". Select the Save Changes button.

Click the Help Center link, located in the bottom of the page.
You will automatically be transferred to the Help Center.
Click the Submit a Ticket icon, select any category in the list then the My Answer is Not Here button.
The next page is where you submit the ticket. In the Summary section, please title it "Cancel My Child's Account." Send in the ticket by hitting the finish button. The Kaneva Support team will close the account and notify you when the account has been closed.
