I understand that most likely (like designing clothes) it's quite difficult to describe how to create emotes, however, if someone could help me a bit I might be able to figure some more out. From reading some of the forums I realize you need some program named 3DMax? Yet, I have not dicovered how to upload the newly made emotes unto the Shop.Kaneva website. If there has to be some sort of payment for the program I will just forget it... So can anoyone help me get started? Thank you

Sorry but I need to say something. I have searched a lot for 3ds Max and I haven't found it able to be downloaded anywhere. This is the only link I found, in this thread: http://offers.autodesk.com/10/aecsem...FRMNDQodBRp_aQ
The problem is that this is 3ds Max 2011 and as far as I have been informed, kaneva needs 3ds Max v9. I installed this 2011, but I can't find Collada plug-in for this version. I don't really know what Collada is, I was just following some indications on how to install 3dsMAX. So, do I need Collada or any other plug-ins to use this version of 3dsMax 2011? Or you can help me with a link to a 3dsMax v9 that can be downloaded for free ... Hope I didn't ask too stupid questions ... I find this emote thing so complicated ... |

Opencollada is the plugin that I use for 3ds 2010. I don't know if it works for 2011 yet.
http://www.opencollada.org/download.html As for obtaining 3ds, you can try software resellers, but probably the best deal is to get a clean legit copy with a student discount. Surely somebody you know is in school. Looks like $350 at the first place I looked. There are others. You can also use a downloaded copy during the trial period, but there are so many features I've had to watch tutorials and read several books to get to the level I'm at now. http://www.studica.com/Autodesk/ KP |
